10 August 2018: Buildcorp’s winning streak continued this month, as our Victorian team was recognised at the Master Builders Association of Victoria Awards for our Maddocks workplace project, taking out the ‘Excellence in Fit-Out’ category.
The award cited the team’s quality of construction and attention to detail, as both were paramount to the successful delivery of the new Maddocks workplace in Melbourne’s Collins Square. The premium Bates Smart designed office fit-out features high-end finishes, custom joinery, travertine stone and bespoke banquette seating. All key elements were prototyped and tested to achieve the quality, durability and functionality required and Schott Rivuletta glazing was installed to all executive meeting rooms – the first time it has been used in this style or size in Australia. Design highlights also included an expansive Wintergarden break-out area featuring timber decking and ceiling panelling.
Acknowledgement also goes to Buildcorp’s client and partner, Maddocks, and the larger consultant team including Montlaur Project Services, Bates Smart and Norman Disney & Young for their collaborative and professional approach. This also helped to navigate the challenges of completing the project whilst the Collins Square tower was still under construction.
