Buildcorp has delivered another successful cinema complex that is our sixth project for longstanding clients Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL). The new 2,000-seat Springfield Event Cinemas in the Orion Central Shopping Centre was completed four weeks ahead of program and is the newest facility in AHL’s portfolio.
The complex is the largest in the region with nine screens including two luxury Gold Class auditoriums with reclining armchair seating and two V-Max auditoriums featuring powerful digital surround-sound and state-of-the-art 20m digital screens.
Buildcorp worked closely with AHL and the consultant team in the project planning stages to find solutions to design, detailing and buildability challenges. The Buildcorp team then managed to deliver the facility four weeks ahead of schedule thanks to the strong collaborative partnership with AHL and project stakeholders.
Buildcorp’s other projects for AHL include three cinema projects in Brisbane (Indooroopilly, Browns Plains and Toombul), a cinema project in Townsville and the Topshop/Topman retail fit-out at Brisbane’s 111 Elizabeth Street.
