Accelerated program & façade expertise deliver remedial solution defect free

Buildcorp’s Asset Solutions team were engaged to deliver the remedial upgrade of this prominent Chatswood building at 8-12 Brown Street. The project involved extensive window, lintel and façade repairs and painting and sealing works.

Following detailed consultation with the owners and hotel operators, an accelerated program was developed to deliver the upgrade works in a manner that minimised the impact on residents and guests. This involved working on up to 12 units simultaneously for a maximum of five working days. Sequencing the works in this way enabled the removal, modification and installation of 110 window and lintel systems in 67 separate units in seven weeks.

A key element of the project involved replacing all windows on the corner turrets of the building. Due to the curved nature of this façade, specialist catchment systems were created. New, bespoke access methodologies were also developed in conjunction with our subcontractors to carry out the works to a high standard and ensure the best possible approach to safety for site personnel and the general public.

Despite the complexity of the works, all window units were handed over defect free.
