DEXUS Property Head Office

The Dexus Sydney Head office was expanded to include an additional 500m2 of activity based working environment on Level 24 inclusive of a new interconnecting stair to Level 25. The majority of works were completed outside of normal business hours to allow Dexus and tenants to continue their ‘Business as Usual’.

The new interconnecting stair between Levels 24 and 25 was a key element to the overall Woods Bagot design. Stair pressurisation tests were completed early in the design phase confirming the requirement for a new fire curtain surrounding the stair. Supporting steel trimmers were spliced to fit within the goods lift and installed prior to the stair penetration being cut over a weekend. Noise monitoring equipment was used to ensure maximum limits were not exceeded. Finishes and the overall design of the stair are sympathetic to their existing fit-out consisting of a curved metal and glass balustrade and blackbutt timber treads.

The remaining fit out of Level 24 included exposed high level services, two meeting rooms, two quiet rooms, utility room, galley kitchen, a dynamic space, lockers, joinery and an activity based working environment. Works also included audio visual, specialist lighting, polished concrete flooring and reused carpet tiles.
