DLA Piper

Executive Floor Refurbishment

Engaged by Spitfire Control, on behalf of DLA Piper, Buildcorp completed the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase, by forming an integral part of the project team, by assisting with finalizing design and buildability. This pre-construction phase also allowed for procurement of trade works and identification of long lead time items, ahead of the construction works starting.

Working closely with Woods Bagot on the design and the services engineers from Medland Metropolis, this project will bring the Level 21 client floor in line with the international corporate image of DLA Piper. The project involved the demolition of ceilings, partitions and floor finishes, to allow new modern finishes to be installed. Close coordination with the building owner, as well as existing tenants, ensured that works were completed with minimal disruption and impact.

The works included improved room acoustics, the addition of new meeting rooms and the enhancement of existing rooms, as well as a new ante-room function space, 124 seat seminar room, board room, telepresence room and reception area. The installation of a completely new audiovisual and communication system will also bring improved technologies to the completed floor. The installation of a feature wall along the outside length of the seminar and anterooms, is a focal point of the design, together with new joinery and modern furniture.
