ECI solutions for complex services and workplace technology

Facebook’s 6 Star Green Star workplace fit-out flows over four levels of Barangaroo’s International Towers. In addition to the regular workplace functions, the fit-out has a commercial kitchen, TV studio, editing suites and green room, games room and interconnecting stairs to all levels.

Solutions for ECI and beyond
Buildcorp started as an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) partner to provide assistance on buildability, design management and programming. The ECI phase allowed forward planning for international procurement lead-times, as well as thorough coordination a dedicated fire rated plant room which enveloped all the equipment to optimise space and protection.

The workplace features required complex and collaborative services and acoustics coordination, including a solution for the drainage system for the 500m2 commercial kitchen. Our detailed program and procurement plan enabled the high specification IT comms rooms to be delivered in time for an eight week handover period from commencement.

The workplace vertical village connects all four levels through a new interconnecting stair, which was designed, manufactured and delivered as modular elements to achieve the highest quality, save time and allow a weld-free installation as part of the 6 Star Green Star rating compliance.
