Industrial Building, Brendale – ACP Cladding Replacement

Combustible cladding replacement for a large commercial warehouse with adjoining fully operational office space.

Buildcorp undertook a cladding replacement project on a major commercial warehouse that included an adjacent office space, car park, and vehicle maneuvering areas. The primary objective was to replace combustible cladding panels without causing any disruption to the existing tenants and without any safety incidents.

Buildcorp’s team executed the project with the utmost care and caution, ensuring that all necessary safety measures were in place throughout the duration of the project.

To access the work faces, we used elevated work platforms and mobile scaffold equipment, which were protected by temporary barricades and spotters during the works.

The high-level cladding required worker access off the awning roof, which was harnessed to the existing roof safety system. We also installed ply protection on the roof to protect the roof sheeting as required.

To minimise noise and disruptions, we completed most of the works within the services areas during normal trading hours. However, we ensured that noisy and disruptive works were carried out outside of operational and trading hours while also taking into account Council obligations. Overall, the project was completed successfully with zero safety incidents and minimal impact to the existing tenants.
