Kimberly Clark Australia

Distribution Centre

The project consists of the design and construction of two industrial warehouse buildings and associated offices, hardstand and roadways. The total storage area of the warehouses is approximately 43,000m2, with one warehouse having racking to a height of 22m and the other having racking to a height of 13m. The warehouses have been constructed as storage and distribution centres for Kimberly Clark Australia and are to be fitted out by the client with extensive racking and automated racking systems. Included in the installation are automated conveyor systems and seven high speed cranes for stacking and retrieval of pallets within the racking. The structure is typically a steel portal with pre-cast concrete dado panels and colour bond cladding. The office structure has been constructed from structural steel and bondek and will be clad in glass and aluminium sandwich panels. The services are designed to strict FM Global guidelines to meet the requirements of the end user.
