Kingpin Bowling Centre Townsville

Ardent Leisure expanded their premier brand of bowling alleys in Townsville and set out to create the best facility of its kind in Australia which they achieved with unparalleled success. In addition to a bowling facility, the venue doubled up as a nightclub with a Laser Skirmish Arcade.

Ardent leisure engaged Buildcorp Interiors in August 2011 with a strict deadline fourteen weeks later. The project required extensive below ground drainage, a new mechanical system, extensive lighting installation and a high-quality finish. Through rigorous subcontractor selection, Buildcorp assembled a team principally from local trades but employed joinery & electrical contractors from Brisbane.

Due to the project profile programme constraints Ian Morrison, Buildcorp’s Branch Manager, Roy Menachemson, Ardent Leisure’s CEO of Development attended the fortnightly meetings. This provided clarity and enabled the project team to deliver the project by the agreed date. The whole team operated with an open and honest relationship which allowed problems to be discussed and effective solutions found.
