Full refurbishment of wards on Levels 2 and 3 of the Mercy Boyan building at the Mater Rockhampton Private Hospital

This refurbishment over two levels of the Mater Rockhampton Private Hospital was delivered on a ‘fast track’ basis over a Christmas-New Year period. Buildcorp worked closely with the client to facilitate early procurement and the commitment of sub-contractor trades and suppliers to ensure strict conformance to the required delivery date. The project included:

  • Refurbishment of existing wards on two levels (32 x 1-bed, 1 x 2-bed, 3 x 4-bed) plus related clinical areas
  • Full upgrade to mechanical services as well as modification/upgrade to electrical/hydraulics

The wards remained operational throughout the project and careful consideration was given to managing the live environment and minimising disruption to patients and medical staff.
