Rockpool Bar & Grill

Refurbishment and Fit-out

Rockpool Bar and Grill occupies the old City Mutual Building on the corner of Bligh and Hunter Streets Sydney, the Heritage listed ground floor chamber and Level 1 with access off Hunter Street. The Heritage listing of this building and interior posed a challenge from the commencement of construction. Heritage restrictions also influenced the way certain services and finishes were designed so that all Heritage issues could be satisfied. It was always going to be a challenge to ensure the Art Deco interior of the grand chamber would remain the prominent feature, ensuring patrons could have a dining experience in a space that could have always been there since the 1920s. Spice Temple was completed as part of the heritage refurbishment of Rock Pool Bar and Grill. Hidden behind an LCD door below street level, a basement has been converted into a dark night club styled dining venue where the 2 hat awarded food is hot and the atmosphere even hotter.
