Sir Louis Matheson Library (Stage 1)

Monash University

The project team refurbished existing spaces within Building 67 at the Clayton campus, to create new office accommodation for library administration staff. The project was staged across 4 levels, with works undertaken within a live environment.

The architectural works included new plasterboard walls, doors, internal glazing and an internal ramp with access to the loading bay. Finishes included carpet and vinyl flooring, painting, glazing film and acoustic panelling.

The services works included the installation of new plumbing, electrical, data and security access control. The existing mechanical system was modified to suit the new layout. Existing fire EWIS and smoke detection fittings were replaced with new.

New workstations have been installed to Lower Ground, Ground and Level 2 (part). Existing workstations on Level 2 have been provided with new electrical/data services and were re-configured to suit the new layout.
