Valley Metro Remediation Works

Strong collaboration between project partners to deliver the remediation works of this redevelopment

Located above Fortitude Valley Train Station, a key transport Hub that connects 30,000 commuters daily, the main Valley Metro Retail Redevelopment project was an exciting new retail refurbishment and ambience upgrade of the existing centre and amenities, pedestrian entries, a new metro format Supermarket and new layout of specialty tenancies. 

Following the successful refurbishment of the main building and retail precinct in 2021, our client engaged us for additional remediation works including concrete cancer and structural steel upgrades in the carpark.

Additionally, the laneway suspended in bridging sections at back of centre required structural remediation works to rectify issues such as concrete cancer, exposed/rusted steel, cracked columns and beams. This work had to be undertaken during Queensland Rail shutdowns. 

Buildcorp established a collaborative environment with all stakeholders, consultants, subcontractors and building tenants to deliver the project in a professional manner.

Our post client review and feedback demonstrated a high satisfaction score of 10 out of 10 – an excellent achievement given the number of stakeholders and other challenges working at the site.
