Brief Description

The Western Grandstand project at North Ipswich Reserve is a major step in transforming the precinct into a premier sporting and entertainment hub. Jointly funded by the Australian Government and Queensland Government, in association with Ipswich City Council. The project includes the design and construction of a new Western Grandstand, expansion of the carpark, and redevelopment of surrounding hardscape and softscape areas to improve amenity and flow. This project will comprise of: - Seating for at least 2,000 spectators - Male and Female changerooms with toilets and showers for home and away teams - Scorer and timekeeping box - Referees room with toilet and shower - Public amenities - Canteen - Medical/first aid room - Coaches Box (2) - Control Room - Media and Broadcast Room - Internal and external storage and cleaners room - Function room with at least 130 patrons - Relocation of the existing gymnasium and amenities block - Field lighting and screen - External upgrades including public plaza, terraces, carpark and landscaping. The new grandstand will integrate innovation, accessibility, and spectator comfort, creating a high-quality, future-ready venue delivering legacy benefits to the region for decades to come.
