DOOLEYS Lidcombe

Since 1946, this bustling hospitality and social club is what many locals have considered the ‘beating heart’ of the Lidcombe community. 

Over the next two years, DOOLEYS members will witness a major transformation that will provide first-in-its-class facilities, evolving DOOLEYS into a leading entertainment destination in Western Sydney.

After a comprehensive tender submission, Buildcorp have been awarded the first phase of the DOOLEYS masterplan. In partnership with PTW, the initial works will see Buildcorp lead a complete refurbishment of the existing club along with a new two storey extension.

Delicate management of the live environment will be crucial as Buildcorp work across existing areas of the club in a staged handover approach. The refurbishment will ultimately improve upon the club’s functionality, arrival sequencing and will provide modern architectural touches to complement the club’s extension.

Concurrently, the extension works include provisions for new bar areas, restaurants, cafés, children’s play area, gelateria – and a dedicated functions and events centre for up to 500 members.

Additional scope involve replacements to the façade along John and Board Street frontages, upgraded grand entrances on both Church and John Street, and improved vertical transport and connectivity throughout the facility.
