Earlier this week, Buildcorp and McCall Gardens Community celebrated a pivotal moment for the McCall Community Hub development with an official groundbreaking and smoking ceremony. Joined by project stakeholders, consultants, residents, carers and members of the community, this event marked the official start of an exciting 18-month journey to bring the revitalised Hub to life.
We were honoured to have Graham Davis King lead us in a powerful Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, which served as a touching tribute to the rich cultural heritage of the land. As we marked this significant moment with an official groundbreaking, we reflected on the vision for the McCall Community Hub; to create a vibrant and inclusive space that offers a wide range of high-quality services and facilities for Box Hill, as well as the wider north west communities of Sydney. The Hub will be a foundational pillar of support for the community, particularly in its offering of a comprehensive range of disability services and supports.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us for this historic occasion and for the continued support of all our project partners, including MostynCopper, Plus Architecture, Tonkin, JN Consulting Engineers, EMM Consulting and Durie Design.
