An impressive design from Bates Smart reflecting the newly adopted café style approach to recent law firm upgrades, encouraging staff and clients to spend more time in the office.
Buildcorp was engaged by one of Australia’s leading law firms, Maddocks, to complete their new 6,250m2 fit-out spanning Levels 23, 24 and 25 of the recently developed Collins Square.
Extensive flexible working spaces lend themselves to collaborative, team working arrangements or confidential siloed operations synonymous with the legal profession.
Clean lines of travertine stone coupled with the warmness of traditional joinery flowing through the core, complements the grand spiral staircase, connecting the three floors of office space.
The 23 week programme of works included:
- 350 sit to stand desks
- Integrated Audio Visual System
- Barista bar
- Two-storey wintergarden
- Commercial kitchen
- Indoor/outdoor open-plan collaborative spaces
- High-end finishes including polished plaster columns, detailed joinery, feature rugs and timber ceilings
