Buildcorp backs the UQ Red Heavies to 2026

Buildcorp is delighted to share that we have extended our 16-year partnership with the University of Queensland Rugby Club for another three years.

Having recently completed the construction of the National Rugby Training Centre at Ballymore in Brisbane, we are proud supporters the grassroots rugby community, and are committed to helping provide opportunities and pathways for men and women in rugby, in all its forms.

Our partnership with the UQ Rugby Club over the past 16 years has been extremely successful and this extension has been extremely well received by the Club.

“Our relationship with Buildcorp goes a lot deeper than the sponsorship. They are part of the Red Heavies family and have been with us all the way,” stated UQ Rugby President, David Muir.

“When we needed additional support for our 7’s program, they were first to put up their hand. Similarly, when we needed assistance with the introduction of our Wheelchair Rugby team a couple of years ago, they were there. We can’t thank them enough.”

This partnership, which encompasses shared values and passion for team sport and community investment, has contributed to UQ Rugby’s ongoing growth and success in Queensland.

We are proud to have supported the Club since 2008, who over the past 16 years has gone from strength to strength cementing its position as one of the premier clubs in Brisbane” said Buildcorp Managing Director, Tony Sukkar AM.

“As an aligned partner, we take pride in broadening our support beyond the 15’s to also include the 7’s, Junior Red Heavies and Wheelchair Rugby programs. We are aligned with the impact the Club has on its community and look forward to the future ahead.”
