Works at 275 Kent Street required delicate make-good of the skyrise floors of this 32-level commercial tower. Buildcorp actively solved the challenge of refeeding critical infrastructure whilst posing no risk of disruption to the building’s anchor tenant, Westpac.
Otherwise known as Westpac Place, 275 Kent Street has served as the Sydney headquarters for Australia’s oldest bank since opening in 2006. The 32-floor commercial asset features an urban park, multiple restaurants on lower ground floors, and a dedicated end of trip and childcare facility servicing Westpac staff.
In 2023, Buildcorp was engaged to reposition the top nine floors across the skyrise platform, in preparation for a new tenancy.
The make-good project includes significant modifications to services, stair infills and the reinstatement of ceiling, wall and floor finishes.
Buildcorp was required to split and refeed all critical electrical infrastructure, which required delicate engineering and sensitive live environment management. This included maintaining Westpac’s sensitive data supply in order to sustain their ongoing operations with no disruption.
In addition, the project includes an upgrade of 27 male, female & DDA bathrooms between L24 to L32, as well as the refurbishment of new lift lobbies on L24 to L27 alongside the ground floor main entrance.
The refurbishment of the top ten floors of 275 Kent Street, the skyrise floors of a 32-floor commercial tower. The project included refurbishments to lift lobbies, cold shell tenancies and upgrades to bathroom amenities across L24 to L32, and a ground floor main entrance refurbishment.
