Logan Hyperdome Refurbishment

Refurbishment and remixes project across three key areas in a live shopping centre

This refurbishment and remixes project at Logan Hyperdome Shopping Centre encompassed three main areas of work: expansion of the Kmart Tyre & Auto Service tenancy, refurbishment of the Southern Mall and demolition of existing tenancies, and construction of ‘The Market Room’ precinct and associated facilities. The key works areas included:

  • Extension of the market place
  • New facade and front entry
  • Redevelopment of the adjoining car park and landscaped area

The Market Room at Hyperdome offers a unique, fresh food destination in one of Queensland’s most dynamic growth corridors and sets a new benchmark for fresh food market design.

The project involved significant new structural elements which were constructed around a fully operational and live environment, as risk management and hoarding/staging strategies were key to ensuring business as usual for QIC.
