Monash College Learning Village

The Monash College Learning Village was designed as an educational facility to house international students completing pre-requisite studies prior to successful full-time enrolment at Monash University. 

This fast-tracked project required heavy involvement from our project team in driving the design development process from concept to completion while simultaneously undertaking procurement and construction responsibilities.

Using the construction management delivery method, the project programme involved the modular fabrication of six new double-storey buildings. The buildings were manufactured off-site by a modular contractor, prior to being delivered to the site located in the Monash University car park. Each building was individually craned into place and installed on pad footings, with a steel gantry walkway connecting the six structures.

In addition to the resplendent yellow steel gantry walkways, the project included external landscaping, concrete bench seating, blue synthetic turf and extensive timber decking surrounding the facility, creating a village-like environment for the new students to enjoy.
