Buildcorp Queensland recently celebrated the ground breaking of Healthscope’s Peninsula Private Hospital expansion. The new facility will further improve the clinical service capabilities of the hospital in supporting the Redcliffe Peninsula community.
Buildcorp’s team worked closely with project partners through an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase to incorporate staging and phasing strategies, buildability, supply chain solutions, and risk reduction processes into the design finalisation phase. Following completion of the ECI, Buildcorp’s team commenced with delivery of a phase 1 works package consisting of a new on-grade car park, which was a critical milestone and key to making space available for the phase 2 new expansion works.
The team are now excited to move into the main works, which will see delivery of four new operating theatres, pre-operation spaces, recovery rooms, storerooms, and a Central Sterilisation Services Department (CSSD). Additionally, there will be new offices, back-of-house areas for administration, communication rooms, and all associated plant to run the new facility.
We are excited to collaborate with our project partners to complete this project in 2025.
