Ensuring a safe and compliant facade for a landmark building on the Pyrmont skyline was a perfect fit for the technical knowledge and operational expertise of Buildcorp’s façade and remedial team.
Recognising the safety and long term impacts of combustible cladding identified on the building, the owners and residents of 45 Bowman St were among the earliest residential tower blocks to initiate full scale removal and replacement works.
With initial trial works carried out by others, Buildcorp’s proposal to carry out the full scope of works able demonstrated the suitability of the team as the ideal construction partner for the project. Working in partnership with the consulting team appointed by the owners during the early stages of the project enabled the identification of a few minor areas of fire safety compliance that might require addressing as the project developed, which assisted in being able to mitigate any cost or programme impacts in the design and mobilisation stage rather than after site works had commenced.
With the facade forming a notable part of the Pyrmont landscape, detailed attention was paid to ensuring the clients quality standards were achieved. This included quality inspections and audits being carried out by the Buildcorp team at the cladding production facility overseas to ensure consistency of product.
