Refurbishment and Integrated Fit-out

This was an all-encompassing building renewal project that included the relocation and consolidation of Australia Post’s tenancy and staff, complete façade upgrade, ground floor portal, lobby and external works and base building upgrade without disruption to the building occupants and the normal day to day operation and traffic.

The site presented Carr Design Group with an architectural opportunity to activate the landscape and building forecourt through the introduction of an elegant glass atrium, a colonnade of stainless steel columns, the atrium bays each glazed overhead with a shimmering mesh interlay of silver fabric filtering the sun and glare into the building at the lower levels and through a series of ramps and terraces the new atrium opens up and connects to the streetscape and provides a greater opportunity for the use of the forecourt as it now houses a café and retail spaces which spill into the entry of the building, encouraging people to interact.

The project achieved 5 Star Green Star Design, As Built and Interiors and 5 star NABERS Energy Tenancy and 5 Star NABERS Base Building Rating.
