Buildcorp delivered a major refurbishment and extension to the existing hospital including car park works, new hospital theatres, treatment areas and essential services. 

To achieve this, the team undertook a comprehensive planning process to validate project requirements, align building methodology with cost planning advice, and achieve a scope within budget parameters. The main component of the new development is an extension to the existing hospital on the southwestern corner of the site. Among other ancillary spaces, the building houses:

External:

  • New on-grade car park
  • New essential services, including: upgraded generator, main switchboard, medical gas systems, incoming utilities upgrades, new and upgraded stormwater connections
  • Water treatment and pump room
  • New cooling tower

Ground floor:

  • 4 operating theatres and recovery rooms
  • Several storerooms, including sterile store
  • Central sterilisation services department
  • New offices and back-of-house area for administration
