Delivering world class facilities, patient care and rehabilitation services alongside excellence in education and research, the Blacktown Exercise Sports and Technology Hub (BEST) is a game changer for Western Sydney.
The landmark facility brings together education, health, sports medicine, research and high performance sport to foster innovative solutions that drive positive sporting and health outcomes for the Western Sydney community.
Designed to improve the performance of athletes and the health of the community, the scope of works included the delivery of:
- Synthetic and turf pitches
- An elite strength and conditioning gym
- Café and meeting spaces
- Academy-style accommodation
- Neighbourhood health hub offering medical services to the local community
- Sports medicine clinic
- Physical literacy area – a space for people of all ages to improve their health through movement
- Physiology laboratories including an environmental chamber
- Biomechanics laboratory and 60m indoor analysis track
- Auditorium and function space
In line with our commitment to making positive lasting contributions to the communities that we work in, our teams prioritised local labour engagement across the 1,000 workers from 55 trades on site, and exceeded our APIC targets for the development.
