Update 22 November: Buildcorp’s QLD team were elated to learn this month that these two projects received even further recognition by picking-up the state wide awards for:

Winner: QUT’s International College in the ‘Education Facilities’ up to $10 million category

Winner: Transurban Head Office Brisbane in the ‘Refurbishment/Renovation’ over $750,000 category

Having recently secured award wins for these two projects at the Brisbane Awards, this State level recognition highlights the unwavering dedication and team work of all involved.

Buildcorp’s Queensland team has proudly taken home three awards from the Master Builders Association QLD ‘Brisbane Housing & Construction Awards 2021’.

Buildcorp’s 2021 MBA QLD Brisbane Housing and Construction Awards project winners are:

1. Education Facilities Award: QUT College, Kelvin Grove Campus Brisbane
Our integrated fitout of Queensland University of Technology’s (QUT) International Students’ Hub transformed three levels of QUT’s International College from an old 80’s building to a modern open plan learning, administration and breakout space.

2. Sporting Facilities Award: Winter Olympic Aerial Ski Training Facility
The Winter Olympic Aerial Ski Training Facility’s award win is a testament to the team’s bespoke design elements and innovative materials to deliver the first year-round outdoor training venue in the world. This includes a specialist water sprinkler system, a uniquely engineered folded metal ramp and one-of-a-kind aeration system that breaks the water’s surface with cushion of air mixed with water.

3. Refurbishment/Renovation Award: Transurban Head Office Brisbane
The Transurban project required innovative design solutions to deliver unique features such as curved, double-sided acoustic glazing and partition walls, and the largest video wall in Australia.

These award wins are a testament to the incredible hard work, innovative thinking and industry-leading delivery of our Queensland teams, proving the team is more than capable of delivering a diverse array of projects at award-winning standards.
