WATCH & WIN | Kawana Shoppingworld project wins award, launches film

After a successful grand opening last December, Buildcorp’s Kawana Shoppingworld Entertainment and Dining Precinct project is once again the talk of the town, thanks to two Master Builders QLD ‘Excellence in Construction’ award wins on the 11 August 2019.

The $50m project took out the ‘Tourism & Leisure Facilities Over $10M’ and ‘Commercial Building Over $50M’ awards at the Master Builders Queensland Sunshine Coast Regional Awards.

Buildcorp was honoured to help clients Mirvac and Event Cinemas create the new precinct which includes a new car park (two stages/630 parks), five new dining tenancies and nine cinemas, including the region’s first Gold Class.

Creative thinking around logistics and local access ensured the development minimised impact to the Centre’s operations. Buildcorp’s base build and fit-out teams ran their projects concurrently to deliver the stages on time to meet the critical Easter and Christmas trade periods.
