BHC Redcliffe

Buildcorp partnered with a leading provider of social housing solutions to construct a six-level development comprising 82 apartments.

Delivered in partnership with BHC Creating Liveable Communities and supported by the Queensland Government’s Housing Investment Fund, the BHC Redcliffe project consists of 82 social and affordable apartments across six storeys, including a single-level basement. 

Prior to construction, Buildcorp worked closely with BHC and their consultants through an ECI process to de-risk lead times, cost escalation and buildability of the project. A key outcome of the ECI phase was the optimisation of the structural design to deliver a commercially viable solution aligned with current market conditions. 

Buildcorp also leveraged established relationships with key subcontractors to refine the construction methodology, simplifying delivery and achieving cost efficiencies. 

The new development features:

• Basement: single-level basement with 49 car spaces, 22 bicycle parks, and ancillary storage.
• Ground floor: 17 car spaces including accessible (PWD) bays, 5 bicycle parks, refuse collection area, internal and external communal facilities, and building management space.
• Residential tower: six levels of long-term accommodation providing a total of 82 apartments.
• Rooftop: green roof and rooftop terrace for use by the residential community.
