Prior to construction, Buildcorp worked closely with BHC and their consultants through an EIC process to de-risk lead times, cost escalation and buildability of the project.

Through engagement with the market, Buildcorp utilised existing relationships with key trades to rationalise the construction methodology and simplify the cost. Working within the client’s operational requirements, the team were able to identify and investigate suitable VE options. 

Currently under construction, the new 6 level social housing development consists of:  

  • Single level basement comprising of 49 carparks and 22 bicycle parks (plus ancillary storage).  
  • Ground level comprising of 17 carparks including PWD’s, 5 bicycle parks, EV charging, refuse collection, internal and external common/ community facilities, fire safety infrastrucutre and building management.  
  • Tower comprising of 6 typical levels for long term accommodation totalling 82 sole living apartments 
  • 2 commercial tenancies  
  • Top floor includes green roof and roof terrace for residential community use
