Herston Private Hospital

The Herston Private Hospital project commenced with an accelerated ECI phase. The day surgery is comprised across 3 levels. Our ECI scope included finalising a limit of cost proposal whilst developing DD Design documentation. Intense coordination ensuring compliance with AHFG and QDC MP5.5 was required.

An early delivery of a complex single Building Approval enabled a quick start on site whilst concurrently working with the principal engaged consultants to complete For Construction documentation.

Throughout the design finalisation, facilitation of collaborative user group design and approval workshops occurred whilst working with the client to finalise selection of Group 2 and 3 equipment and coordinated services provisions.

A high level of detailing in finishes and hospital operational equipment was required to achieve a hotel like experience for patients.

Working with specialist acoustic engineers to undertake on-site vibration testing defined vibration levels from the adjacent carpark ramp and together we developed a vibration control strategy to mitigate significant structural borne vibration. Buildcorp worked with Acoustic Logic to complete modelling and the design of a complex support structure and vibration isolation mounts to achieve the vibration and deflection tolerances required for suspended equipment.

• Wards comprising of 7 x inpatient suites (incl ensuites and lounge) and incorporated medical services wall panels

• Pre-Op and waiting areas
• Three Operating Theatres including the installation of medical gas and medical equipment
• Recovery suites 
• CSSD, sterile storage and associated RO and sterilisation plant and equipment
• Staff bases and nurse offices, Consulting Suites, Boardroom including AV, and Administration offices.
