Buildcorp’s extensive portfolio of complex remediation works in dynamic live environments was critical in the safe and efficient delivery of strengthening and remedial works at the Regis Towers apartment complex in Sydney.
With three apartment towers of up to 36 storeys over a shared car park, podium and transfer structure, essential structural strengthening works were required to be delivered across the 10 levels of shared car park.
These strengthening works included the construction of an in-situ seven metre transfer beam within the car park level to assist in improved load distribution through the existing structure, along with the supply and installation of over 2km of carbon fibre slab strengthening works to supplement the existing structural capacity. To complement these strengthening works, close to 5000ltrs of concrete repair product was installed, along with re-sealing of vertical control joints and repainting of façade elements. Working collaboratively with the owner’s representatives and strata management, Buildcorp implemented a comprehensive communications plan to ensure all stakeholders received weekly updates of planned activities and status reports for tracking of activity and potential works impacting tenant amenities.
With the project commencing during the resurgence of Covid-19 in 2021, Buildcorp’s adaptive and flexible approach to pandemic controls ensured a dedicated and secured access system across lifts and walkways was implemented to fully separate tenants from workers and site works to protect both sets of critical stakeholder.
The combined impact of a collaborative culture, aligned stakeholders and industry leading systems resulted in a project delivered on programme to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
The key services delivered and sector expertise developed on this project.
