The Oaks Waterfront

This resort was built in 2003 and has suffered from a wide range of construction defects such as failed waterproofing, corroded steelwork, inappropriate construction materials for the environment and numerous non-compliance issues.

Buildcorp were awarded this project due to our alternative solution for repairing the water penetration to the façade and providing a warranty beyond that which was asked for.

A lengthy period of design finalisation and scope changes preceded the tender but eventually the project was awarded and we commenced works in August 2017.

Due to a property boundary issue, the designed solution for the Southern façade was unable to be constructed so Buildcorp, in conjunction with Izzat Consulting, developed an alternative compliant façade attachment solution which resolved this issue.

The hotel remained mostly occupied during the construction works and Buildcorp worked closely with the Oaks Management team to minimise disturbance to the guests.
